The Path Taken

December 3, 2017 – 6:00pm
presented by Annex Dance Company

About The Path Taken

Annex Dance Company's The Path Taken will return to the City Gallery at Waterfront Park on December 3rd, 2017.

The site-specific piece created for the City Gallery premiered in the 2015 Piccolo Spoleto Festival. With an original score by composer Michael Wall, the audience is encouraged to view the sections from different perspectives by following the dancers or creating their own paths. In addition to the spatial design of the gallery influencing the choreography, The Path Taken explores themes of personal journey and crossroads.

On December 3rd, members of the community are invited to meet the company and view excerpts of The Path Taken during the Gallery hours (12:00PM – 5:00PM). This event is free and open to the public. The ticketed event at 6:00PM will include a full performance of The Path Taken, immediately followed by a cocktail reception.
